DAY 01 : ARRIVAL PARO - THIMPHU --- [LUNCH / DINNER]

Upon arrival in Paro International Airport, meet and greet by local representative. At 7,333 feet above sea level, the first thing you will likely notice is the effect of the high altitudes, so we will give you time to acclimate as we take a short drive to Thimpu.

Thimphu is the capital of Bhutan and the perfect location to transition from your familiar lifestyle to our unique country that is like no other place on earth. 

  • Kuensel Phodra - sitting Buddha statue which is 167 feet high and situated on top of an overlooking the city of Thimpu.

  • The National Memorial Chorten - was built in 1974 to memorialize Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, the third king of Bhutan (1928-1972)

  • Tashichohodzong - houses of His Majesty Throne Room and as the summer home to the Monastic Body

DAY 02 : THIMPHU INSIGHT --- [BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER]

  • Weaving is an integral component of the culture and tradition of Bhutan. With the aim to preserve and promote this living art, the Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan was instituted in May 2005 under the patronage of Her Majestry Queen Mother Sangay Choden Wangchuck as a non-government, non-profit organization.

  • Institure of Zorig Chusum - a small institute for students ti learn various traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan.

  • The National Library - hold a vast collection of ancient Buddhist manuscripts

  • The Traditional Medicine Centre - local medicine where made from the Himalayan herbs 

  • Simply Bhutan - a living museum and a photo studio with a mission to engage and empower youth entrepreneurs

DAY 03  : PUNAKHA  DAY EXCURSION --- [BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER]

  • The Tango Monastery 

  • Centenary Farmers' Market - farmers come to sell their vegetables, cheeses, grains and the occasional yak leg

  • Pangri Zampa Lhakhang - the main temple of Pangri Zampa is a four storey building

DAY 04 : PUNAKHA --- [BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER]

  • by-pass Dochula Pass

  • Druk Wangyel Chhorten - built by the Queen Mother for the peace and stability of the country

  • Chimi Lhakhang - "Fertility Temple"

  • Punakha Dzong - often refers as "Palace of Happiness"

DAY 05 : THIMPHU - PARO --- [BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER]

  • Rinpung Dzong - now used as administration centre and school for monks

  • The National Museum - one of the finest natural history museums in South Asia 

  • Kyichu Lhakang - first and oldest temple of the Bhutan

DAY 06 : PARO --- [BREAKFAST]

  • Taktsang Monastery - Tiger's Nest is Bhutan's most iconic landmark and religious site 

  • Local Farm House - to see first-hand how rural Bhutanses live

 

DAY 07 : DEPARTURE --- [BREAKFAST]

After breakfast, hotel check out and departure transfer to airport for your flight back to Singapore.
